Triangle

The pitch of a triangle seems indeterminate when played alone but, like a chameleon, it adapts to the primary tonality of its surroundings.

These triangles were also played to call workers in from the fields at meal times. These utilitarian triangles were called dinner bells.

Musical geometry - its shape is its name. Made by bending a steel bar into an isosceles or quilateral triangle, leaving one corner open.
